Inventory Control – Art Supply Sales – Online Students
Drill Setup: The Trainee and Coach sit at a table across from one another. The Coach has a copy of this drill in hand.
Drill Procedure: “What Do You Do?”: This drill is specifically designed to ensure understanding and ability to follow the Standard Routine studied by the Trainee. This drill is conducted by a coach, which has been assigned by a Staff Training Officer.
Each specific (scripted) question is read aloud by the Coach, directly from the drill sheet, followed by the question “What do you do?” The Trainee must respond with an appropriate/correct answer based on the reference materials studied. Answers need not be verbatim. In the event that an incorrect answer is given or the trainee does not know an answer to the question the coach is to provide them with the correct answer and the exact reference point to review. After reviewing the materials the coach asks the same question again and the drill is continued in this manner through the final question.
The drill is repeated until the trainee can complete the entire drill, answering all of the questions correctly, start to finish, without error. If the trainee is unable to pass the drill after several attempts, or if they repeatedly answer the same question(s) incorrectly they are required to restudy the materials and clear up any misunderstandings before continuing with the drill.
A pass is given when the trainee can complete the entire drill, answering all of the questions correctly, start to finish, without error.
Start of Drill
- A student has requested to purchase a 9×12 canvas and a palette pad – What do you do?
Obtain the desired supplies from the art supply cabinets.
- Good – you obtain the desired supplies from the art supply cabinets – What do you do?
Locate the student’s tag in Genesis.
- Okay – you’ve located the student’s tag in Genesis – What do you do?
Select “Sales” from the Student Action Menu.
- Alright – you select “Sales” from the Student Action Menu – What do you do?
Enter the quantity for each item being sold to the student.
- Good – You have entered the quantity for each item being sold to the student – What do you do?
Enter any applicable comment.
- Alright – you have entered the quantity for each item being sold to the student and you have entered an applicable comment – What do you do?
Select “Charge to Account” for the payment type.
- Good – You select “Charge to Account” for the payment type – What do you do?
Click “Submit”.
- Okay – You click the Submit button and a Confirmation window appears – What do you do?
E-mail the student an itemized receipt if desired,
- Alright – You send the student an itemized receipt via email – What do you do?
Close the Confirmation Screen.
- Good – You close the Conformation Screen – What do you do?
Hand the supplies to the student.
